Mayssa Wasfi has built an established career spanning more than 25 years in the fashion industry.
​
After completing her studies in Geneva, Switzerland in 1992, she hit the ground running by opening her own fashion house in 1993, and continued on an incline from there.
​
She has served in many roles ranging from International Brand Manager to Head of Buying and nearly everything in between for prominent luxury fashion entities across the Middle East. Her duties have included managing multi-department stores, attending fashion shows all over the world (Paris, Milan, New York, London, Seoul, Madrid, Istanbul) in order to curate assortments, handling purchasing and stock control, carrying out forecasts, analysis, and business development strategies.
She has also coordinated the openings of mono-brand retail stores for globally sough-after luxury brands such as CHANEL, GIAMBATTISTA VALLI, RALPH AND RUSSO, BALMAIN, and ALAIA, along with organizing exclusive fashion shows for haute couture designers such as NAEEM KHAN, MONIQUE LHULLIER, OSCAR DE LA RENTA, ASHI STUDIO, and ZUHAIR MURAD, forming and maintaining the connections of a lifetime with driving forces in the industry.
Recognizing a gap in the Middle East region, Mayssa established MW Fashion Consultancy with the ambition of utilizing her incomparable experience to assist established brands and retailers as well as startups to achieve their full potential in the region and the rest of the world.
